Mobile Screening and Crushing NZ (MSC) has grown to become a leading provider of material processing equipment and services, the company says. MSC is a family business providing solutions for more than 25 years.

Formed in 1995 by director Andy Meikle, a second generation is now heavily involved in the organisation. Dan Meikle, operations manager, has been with MSC for more than 15 years and runs day-to-day operations as well as being involved in sales and technical support

Total Soil Limited, a North Shore-based company, are a locally owned and operated business. They offer a wide range of products in the greater Auckland areas, including West Auckland and Rodney District.

MSC and Total Soil say they have similar goals with commitments to their customers, with Dave Rimmer, director at Total Soil Limited, saying their goal “is to provide our clients in the residential/commercial sector with quality product, whatever the project.”

Dan Meikle, operations manager at MSC states they, too, have the same customer service offering commitment, passion, and drive: “We take great pride in our customer service, providing support, delivering customer satisfaction.

“Our committed team is equipped with the experience, thorough industry, and product knowledge to assist you, whatever the nature of your enquiry. “We’re dedicated to making your life easier. Whether you’re looking to commission a single machine or multiple pieces of equipment, our team and technicians are there to support you at every step of the process.”

Total soil was established in 2003, and has a proven name in the industry for high-quality products and services. They have supplies of bulk unscreened/screened topsoil and can outsource other products at competitive rates. “We pride ourselves in offering a fast, efficient service at trade prices, with our team having 17 years experience in the industry,” says Dave.

Suppliers to a wide range of customers

Total soil also works alongside major industry leaders including:

  • Civil work contractors
  • Commercial developers
  • Landscapers and roading companies
  • Councils
  • Construction companies

Total Soil provides a variety of different types of soils available to suit all individual needs and aim to provide the highest grade domestic and commercial supply around.

Mobile Scalper Screen Acquisition

The scalper is suitable for a range of applications, including sand, aggregates, and bark

As a result of their commitment to producing high-quality products and services, Dave added a Colt 600 to his fleet of equipment. “I am very happy with the Colt 600, the product splits, and the overall efficiency of the scalper. It produces good clean product, and we are really pleased with the quality and grade of the end product in our stockpiles.’’ says Dave.

He adds that he bought the screen 12 months ago primarily for processing of topsoil, however, the scalper is suitable for a range of applications including sand, aggregates, and bark.

“For Total Soil, the Colt 600 has proven its high-capacity screening capabilities. The 6 G-Force of acceleration at which the screen box moves to the top and returns to the bottom of its respective stroke aids the scalper to produce very high production,’’ says Dan.

The Colt 600 is ideal in urban environments and built-up areas

The compact size of the Colt 600 is ideal in urban environments and built-up areas and where noise pollution can be an issue. The screen is compact and has been specifically designed for operators for whom versatility, manoeuvrability, and transportability are of key importance. It’s strong enough to withstand the toughest of applications.

In addition to the Terex Evoquip range of compact crushing and screening products, MSC offers the Terex Ecotec range of shredders, trommel screens, and conveyors.

MSC also offers the market-leading Lloyd Engineering screening buckets that attach to various sized excavators. The Colt 600 scalping screen is currently in stock for sale and can be rented from MSC’s extensive rental fleet.
